Seriously?! Another season?! OK, I won't lie. I'm a little excited (if its true). I can't ever get enough of ISWAK. xD

I read that Ariel Lin might not be the female lead and she rejected it though... that will completely ruin it! Nooo.

The second season wasn't that good... it was just OK. But in this season they will have twins! xD xD

Sigh.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection: Where are those who love one another through My glory? Today I shall give them shade in My shade, it being a day when there is no shade but My shade.

Bukhari

He who is not trustworthy has no Faith, and he who does not keep his Covenant has no religion.

OK honestly, a lot of nasheeds are bleh. It's hard to make it sound nice without music. I think Zain Bhikha is one of the people who actually make really nice ones!

♥ Love this one!

My Mom is Amazing )

I didn't see the ending coming, totally threw me off and made me tear. :( Love it!! They used it for Islamic Relief to get people to help them support orphans. Very effective!

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “My close friend [the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)] advised me to do three things which I will not give up until I die: fasting three days of each month, praying Duha, and sleeping after Witr.

Hadith Bukhari, 1124; Muslim, 721

Narrated Tariq ibn Suwayd or Suwayd ibn Tariq:

Wa'il said: Tariq ibn Suwayd or Suwayd ibn Tariq asked the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) about wine, but he forbade it. He again asked him, but he forbade him. He said to him: Prophet of Allah, it is a medicine. The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: No it is a disease.

It is related that Umm 'Atiyya said that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to the woman when they were washing his [deceased] daughter, "Begin with her right hand side and the places which are washed in wudu'."

Bukhari

It is related from Abu Mas'ud that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When a man spends on his family and sincerely hopes to be rewarded for it, it is sadaqa (charity)."

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: My faithful servant's reward from Me, if I have taken to Me his best friend from amongst the inhabitants of the world and he has then borne it patiently for My sake, shall be nothing less than Paradise.

Hadith Qudsi

On the authority of Jundub ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: There was amongst those before you a man who had a wound. He was in [such] anguish that he took a knife and made with it a cut in his hand, and the blood did not cease to flow till he died. Allah the Almighty said: My servant has himself forestalled Me; I have forbidden him Paradise.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: The gates of Paradise will be opened on Mondays and on Thursdays, and every servant [of Allah] who associates nothing with Allah will be forgiven, except for the man who has a grudge against his brother. [About them] it will be said: Delay these two until they are reconciled; delay these two until they are reconciled. It was related by Muslim (also by Malik and Abu Dawud).

Hadith Qudsi

On the authority of Abu Harayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: Fasting is Mine and it I who give reward for it. [A man] gives up his sexual passion, his food and his drink for my sake. Fasting is like a shield, and he who fasts has two joys: a joy whin he breaks his fast and a joy when he meets his Lord. The change in the breath of the mouth of him who fasts is better in Allah's estimation than the smell of musk. It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim, Malik, at-Tirmidhi

It is related from Anas ibn Malik that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Allah the Mighty and Majestic appoints an angel to every womb who says, 'O Lord! A sperm drop! O Lord A clot! O Lord! A lump of flesh! ' Then if He desires to complete His creation, He does so and the angel asks, 'Is it to be male or female? Wretched or happy? What is its provision? What is its life-span?' This is all decreed in the mother's womb."

Hadith Bukhari

It is related from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When the Islam of any of you is sound, then each good deed he does has ten to seven hundred times the reward is written for him and every evil deed has its equivalent written for him."

Things that annoy me about going to the masjid during Ramadan:

1. Girls walking around without hijab [esp the girls entering the mens area].
2. Guys creeping in random places.
3. People coming during iftar time not to pray, but to get a free meal and backbite.
4. People pushing each other, mean mugging and cutting in the food line.
5. NO ONE! picking up after themselves.
6. People letting their kids loose, making everyone else annoyed and distracted from their prayer.
7. Seeing those same kids being at the age they are supposed to pray, and their parents are just letting them play during the prayer time.
8. Seeing the highest number of people at iftar time followed by the lowest during Taraweeh.
9. Realizing that even though the number during Taraweeh is lower, the number of people at normal prayers not during Ramadan is even lower.

Sigh. Today was not a good day, so much school and work. I was super annoyed all day seeing girls in short shorts, it seems to be the trend. One girl today had ones so short I could see her butt cheeks, which was kind of gross once you think of her sitting on classroom seats [MRSA anyone? D:] and I saw another wearing jeans with such a big hole in it you could see the pocket flap. She should have just worn her undies out, seriously.

Fitna man, pure fitna.

This post brought to you by my sisters text to me this morning:

"I met a cute Indian guy at the bus stop and started talking to him.. and he thought Rani Mukherji in Paheli was fat. I was like fa.. fat!? Denied!

-love, C"

I was laughing for a good 5 minutes. :D

Apparently he said Bollywood movies are boring and she called him a fake Indian ROFL. Then she was like we should all dance in the street singing and being colorful! :D :D

Her: What major are you?
Him: Pre-med
Her: Because you're Indian?
Him: No?
Her: Liar!
Him: No, I want to do it... but my Dad wants me to.
Her: HAH GOTCHA

Her: I love Indian food, hmm samosas.
Him: There is other Indian food other than samosas.
Her: Like macaroni and cheese you fake Indian!! You need to be fobby, in your dorm room eating samosas doing balle balle!

Her: My sister went to NY and was in an Indian movie, she's even more Indian than you!
Him: Wha...?

She didn't learn his name but she's definitely planning on calling him Raj the next time she sees him.

Oh, Cierra.

So much fail in this post... they have proof that they own the land and the judge still passed it? It amazes me how much crap Israel can do with basically no consequences whatsoever. The whole creation of Israel disgusts me. It was basically a country built by terrorism! Ironic.

What is up with Jewish settlers being evil? I feel bad for the real Jewish people who suffer persecution for speaking out.

Israeli security forces have forcibly evicted two Palestinian families from their homes in East Jerusalem after a court rejected an appeal against their eviction.

The al-Ghawi and al-Hanoun families who were evicted on Sunday have been living in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood since 1956.

Israel has reportedly set aside the land their houses were built on for a planned hotel project.

The eviction comes amid international calls for Israel to halt settlement activity on occupied Palestinian land.

A large police force was involved in the operation in Sheikh Jarrah, one of the most sensitive and upmarket Arab neighborhoods closest to the so-called Green Line which separates east and west Jerusalem.epic!fail )

Why do people have this idea that if you have different ideals about life, a friendship can't work out?

Personally, I think that is bull. We are in a society now that is becoming increasingly more diverse. People from all mindsets are out there mingling. It is very possible to have friends with COMPLETELY different ideals about life.

Then there are some people who have the idea that they feel SO strongly about something, that they just CAN NOT tolerate being around someone who has a different opinion on that matter. For example: I'm obviously from first glance, a Muslim. Quite frequently I meet people who insist that I am so 'different' that they can't stand to be around me. They don't say it right out, but I can tell by their body language and the way they act around me. This always leaves me puzzled, because quite honestly I don't care what people think about in their lives as long as it doesn't affect me. I mean, I don't let others affect my faith or ideals in anything. I grab ahold of what we have in common, and stick to that. Say one of my friends has strong ideas about abortion, and I hold the opposite view. Sure, we might clash once when talking about it, but we will realize we aren't going to agree and leave it at that. We just go back to what we have in common and still remain good friends!

Personally I have many friends of different faiths, ideals. We hold very different views on things such as abortion and being gay. They know my opinion and I know theirs... it doesn't affect our relationship one bit.

I think nowadays it is scary for a lot of people to see someone who is very strong in their faith and implements it in their daily life in a very visual way [I'm a victim right away as my hijab is basically my identity and I am totally fine with that!].

It's become a taboo to be 'religious' in any way. I find myself falling into it sometimes too, but what is there to be ashamed of? It seems that one too many times, if you are a strong confident person practicing your faith [without interfering with others, even] you invite a great amount of hostility towards yourself from others. It just makes my mind flip around because I just wasn't raised with that narrow mindset.

I will admit though there is a group of lovelies who actually migrate towards me just for that reason; They are usually individuals with a strong sense of themselves. Are the others insecure, afraid they will be affected by something different [inferior?] to them?

The USA is made up of so many different ideas about "God". It's amazing to see the lack of tolerance everywhere, though it is getting better as the time goes by. My viewpoint is summed up in this very short Surah # 109 from the Qur'an named Al-Kafiroun [the disbelievers]:

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيم

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful,
قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلۡڪَـٰفِرُونَ

Say: "O Disbelievers!" [disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, In His Angels, In His Books, In his Messengers, etc.]
لَآ أَعۡبُدُ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ

I worship not that which you worship,
وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَـٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ

Nor will you worship that which I worship.
وَلَآ أَنَا۟ عَابِدٌ۬ مَّا عَبَدتُّمۡ

And I shall not worship that which you are worshipping.
وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَـٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ

Nor will you worship that which I worship.
لَكُمۡ دِينُكُمۡ وَلِىَ دِينِ

To you be your religion and to me my religion [Islamic monotheism].

Now why is that so hard for people? The world is an amazing place filled with amazing people of all different faiths, colors, languages and so much more! Why can't we just all tolerate each other for what we are, and move ahead with the common ground and goodness we have? We are all humans, and the fact that we have things in common says a lot. It's sad to think of all the opportunities missed from such a ridiculous barrier.
